UNITED MILITARY COMMAND RANKS

Frontlines of The Confederation, these brave men and women face off against the Overmind's minions daily, willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to further preserve humanity and protossian alike. For members that like to play StarCraft as opposed to working in channel related activities... the United Military Command is for you!

Basically, the United Military Command is a progressive rank structured branch.  Though we prefer everyone works together as friends, we expect that higher ranks issue orders to lower ranks in Team Games.  That is, the higher ranks will determine if the team rushes, defensively expands, what units each person should focus on building, etc.

 

IMPORTANT! UMC members should report to their Captain, or any Admiral on hand.  All promotion requests MUST be sent to the Fleet Admiral for approval.  If you are not much of a game player, do not worry, your UMC Commander also will base promotions on outstanding merit and service to The Confederation.

 

CADET

UNIFORM:

DUTIES:

Study and become completely familiar with The Confederation Ranking System, Laws, and Foreign Policy.  Prove by your actions in channel and in game-play you add "fun and excitement," rather than "conflict and chaos" to ConFed and any activities thereof.   Get to know other members and kill as many Zerg players as you can.

PROMOTION:

To become a Private, a Cadet must graduate from the academy.  Only the CRA Commandant can say when this occurs.  Graduation requirements include an automated online course which all cadets must pass with score of 100% (10 out of 10 questions answered correctly) and Achieved 5 Wins and be a cadet for 5 days.

PRIVATE

PROMOTION:

To be promoted to Private First Class, a Private must have been a Private for 10 days minimum and not have broken any ConFed bylaws in that time and achieve 10 wins on Battle.net.

PROMOTION:

To be promoted to Ensign, a Master Sergeant must have been a Master Sergeant for 15 days minimum and not have broken any ConFed bylaws in that time. Achieve 30 wins on Battle.net and recruit 1 new member that has graduated from the academy.

To be promoted to Lieutenant, an Ensign must have been a Ensign for 15 days minimum and not have broken any ConFed bylaws in that time. Achieve 35 wins on Battle.net and recruit 2 new members that have graduated from the academy.

To be promoted to Commander, a Second Lieutenant must have been a Second Lieutenant for 20 days minimum and not have broken any ConFed bylaws in that time. Achieve 45 wins on Battle.net and recruit 4 new members that graduated from the academy. Gain the approval of the Admiral and Fleet Admiral, or unanimous vote by High Command.

Officer Rank. 2nd-in-Command of a Starship. Meet and play with other ConFed members, kill Zerg players all over Battle.net. Be online 15 or more hours a week as a ConFed member.

PROMOTION:

To be promoted to Captain, a Commander must have been a Commander for 30 days minimum and not have broken any ConFed bylaws in that time.  Achieve 50 wins on battle.net and recruit 2 new members that graduated from the academy.  Gain the approval of the Admiral and Fleet Admiral, or unanimous vote by High Command.

Cadet, Private, Private First Class, Corporal, Sergeant, Master Sergeant, Ensign, Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant

MUST TAKE ORDERS FROM:

CAPTAIN

DUTIES:

Officer Rank. Commands a UMC Fleet Starship. You are accountable for everything that goes on with the members under your command. Meet and play with other ConFed members, kill Zerg players all over Battle.net. Be online 18 or more hours a week as a ConFed member.  May apply to promote an individual UMC to the Fleet Admiral for approval. Captains can promote Up to Sergeant.

PROMOTION:

You must achieve 55 Wins, not have broken any ConFed laws in 20 Days, and the spot has To Be Open. You cannot apply for the position of Vice Admiral. Only the combination of the High Command and the UMC Fleet Admiral can decide who is given the rank of Admiral.

DUTIES:

Officer Rank.  Commands a UMC Fleet Starship.  Joint Chiefs of Staff Member.  Given to Captains who have shown outstanding performance and distinction in their post as Captain.  You are accountable for everything that goes on with the members under your command.  Meet and play with other ConFed members, kill Zerg players all over battle.net.  Be online 18 or more hours a week as a ConFed member.  May apply to promote an individual UMC to the Fleet Admiral for approval.  Vice admirals can Promote up to Second Lieutenant.

PROMOTION:

To be promoted to Vice Admiral, you must achieve 55 Wins, not have broken any ConFed law in 20 days and the position MUST be vacant.  You must have shown exceptional leadership and performance through your career as an officer.  A Vice Admiral can only be appointed by the Fleet Admiral.

DUTIES:

Officer Rank. Command one of two of the UMC Fleets. Meet and play with other ConFed members, kill Zerg players all over Battle.net. Be online 18 or more hours a week as a ConFed member.   Attend Joint Chiefs of Staff meetings once a week.  Help make sure UMC's behave in channel and help UMC's in the absence of the Fleet Admiral as needed with questions.

PROMOTION:

You must achieve 60 Wins, not have broken any ConFed laws in 25 Days, and the spot has To Be Open. You cannot apply for the position of Fleet Admiral. Only the High Command can decide who is given the rank of Fleet Admiral.

DUTIES:

Officer Rank. Joint Chiefs of Staff Member. Supreme Commander of the UMC Branch. Responsible for overseeing the entire UMC. Meet and play with other ConFed members, kill Zerg players all over Battle.net. Be online 20 or more hours a week as a ConFed member.   Attend weekly meetings of the JCOS.  Help motivate and get the word out to UMC during wartime.  Help monitor the UMC's and make sure they behave in channel. Oversee and approve UMC promotions. There is only one Fleet Admiral and this post is considered among the most prestigious ConFed has to offer.
